Radon Testing
For your safety and convenience I am now offering Radon testing. If you book a Radon test with your home inspection you will receive $15.00 off the regular price of $150.00.
Radon is a radioactive gas that comes out of the ground and finds its way into homes through any number of access ways. According to the EPA Radon is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer. I am certified by the EPA to conduct Radon testing. The test must be conducted following specific protocols and standards set forth by the EPA. If these protocols and standards are not followed the test results may not be valid. Because of these protocols and standards and the fact that a short term test is usually needed for a real estate transaction the EPA recommends using a certified Radon Measurement Specialist. I will conduct the test using state of the art equipment. This equipment will continuously monitor the Radon levels in the area being measured. The data collected will be analyzed by my lab and the results reported to you within a few hours after the test is complete. Additional information about Radon can be found at www.epa.gov/radon.
